ABOUT US

 The National Alumnae Association of Spelman College (NAASC) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization of Spelman College. For over 140 years, graduates of Spelman College have been pioneers in education, medicine, business, engineering, and the arts. As proud alumnae of Spelman College, we believe it is important to continue the tradition of excellence and legacy of our Spelman Sisters. 

The Tampa Bay Area Chapter was reestablished in the fall of 1988 under the leadership of Mrs. Ruth Harvey Brown.  On April 17, 1999, the chapter celebrated its chartering ceremony and today It is comprised of alumnae and supporters in the Tampa/St. Petersburg/Clearwater areas. The chapter is active in community service in the Tampa Bay area and is proud to provide scholarships to local women attending Spelman College.
